The Confederate Home Court Rooms, Drawing Rooms, Antechamber, and Courtyard are available for events, private parties and receptions.
These two beautiful rooms were occupied by the Federal Court before the Civil War. It was here that Judge Magrath renounced his allegiance to the United States government upon the secession of the state of South Carolina. They are perfect for receptions, meetings, luncheons, or dinners.
The Courtroom capacity is limited to 130 seated and Antechamber Capacity limited to 25.
The capacity for Antechamber only is limited to 32 seated.
One can imagine President Monroe acknowledging the crowd below from the balcony or a bride throwing her bouquet. These rooms were also used as classrooms for the Confederate Home and College. These rooms contain antique furniture and paintings and are perfect for receptions, meetings, luncheons, or dinners. Your guests may also enjoy the porch outside the rooms.
Capacity is limited to 90 seated, 150 standing for East and West Drawing Rooms Capacity is limited to 45 seated, 75 standing for East or West Drawing Rooms.
Our garden offers a large space that can host up to 200 guests for your outdoor event.
Two fountain areas are situated on the property offering two unique places for guests to gather.
The garden is a hidden oasis in the heart of Charleston and is lovingly maintained by the Garden Club of Charleston. With a lovely fountain and patio, it is perfect for a wedding, reception, or dining al fresco. The courtyard may be added to your room rental if desired.
